Social Media Marketing

includes various psychological techniques to create subliminal and other forms of loyalty

How should Social Media Marketing (SMM) work?

Social Media Marketing's purpose is to create portals for 2-way symmetrical communications. It's meant to provide updates, showcase the benefits of the company's offerings, allow for prize earning opportunities and so much more. To have an effective SMM platform, its best to start with a Social Media Marketing Plan (SMMP). An SMMP is an essential part of your growth strategy, which includes a planned-out content calendar, an arsenal of automation tools, tools for tracking performance metrics and more. There are 5 easy Steps for launch:

  1. We will evaluate your current social strategies and tactics

  2. We will set relevant metric baselines and achievable goals for your SMMP

  3. We will define your goals into prioritised inputs and trackable metrics

  4. We will create a posting or goal calendar in your SMMP to hit those metrics

  5. We will visualize the previous steps into an organised SMMP

Social Media Tenets

When Tenets are created and implemented, there can be lots of benefits to your company, staff, investors, creditors, debtors and other stakeholders. For Marketing purposes, a Tenet is a principle or belief held with passionate conviction. Given the type of toxicity that exists on Social Media, we urge that you embed Tenets to guide staff and customers alike. Here is a list of Tenets according to Kabani (2013):

  • Respect

  • No Manipulation

  • Know Targets

  • Have other goals

  • Use real names

  • Be proactive

Traditional Marketing vs Social Media Marketing

In today's business world, customers are less tolerant of "bosses" and even less loyal to any one brand. This is why differentiation is crucial for relevance and survival. Customers want to relate to companies and they want companies to relate to them, not hide behind bots.

Kabani's (2013) Traditional Marketing vs Social Media Marketing implies that as Marketers we should always remember from where Marketing evolved. Have a look below.
