A brief look at the Launch of the Health Authority of Anguilla's Facebook page
CASE STUDY

The first thing we wanted to comprehend was the way the public perceived the Health Authority of Anguilla (HAA).
Our research discovered that many resented the HAA. Interestingly, it was not the quality of healthcare they were disgusted with; it was the mannerisms, staff interactions, apathy and other negative sentiments, that churned a sour perception of the HAA.
Naturally, our job was to correct this.

To redefine the value of symmetrical relationships & to build system of transparency to engender public trust
MAIN OBJECTIVE BUT, how will this be achieved?
Objective 1.
To redefine the value of all internal relationships
Aims:
-
To enhance all relationships via symmetrical interactions
-
To capture and present staff enjoying their work
-
To capture staff interactions, primarily highlighting laughter, joy and passion
-
To capture staff enjoying each other's presence
-
To invite positive feedback from staff
Instinctively, we thought to start at the top.
Discussions with the CEO - Mrs Maeza Demis-Adams were productive. She agree to lend her courteous manner, insights and experience to motivate staff while simultaneously, embedding new foundations for trust from the public.
Mrs Demis-Adams agreed to record a Welcome video for the Facebook Cover. Here is that video.
Secondly, it was vital to elevate staff.
Here are some of the steps we took:
-
Celebrate all staff! This was done via a mini media campaign. Click here to see the full photo album.
-
Reposition tools for proactive communication between staff and the public.
-
Broadcast Staff-related passion for their work
-
Recommended the re-institution of Employee of the Month/Year
-
Upload individual videos to represent HAA's departments for easy appreciation online - Doctors, Nurses and A&E, Laboratory, Facilities, Dental, Radiology and EMTs
-
Recommended and offered Social Media Management training

Objective 2.
To promote staff relationships to the public
Aims:
-
To create engaging videos illustrating staff's passion
-
To create easy access for the public to review developed media
-
To showcase the bond staff has with each other
-
To show the various departments to the public
-
To breakdown the "walls" between different departments and between management, doctors, nurses, EMT, facilities and other important staff
Next, we then aimed to record and illustrate the dedication & passion of staff at work.
We did this through:
-
Photography
-
Videography
-
Input from staff
-
Highlighting the effectiveness of teamwork

Music
We had aimed to build a social media platform to leverage a positive feel and great optimism. This is what we went by to create the music heard on the Doctors' video.
As you listen, there is a sense of calm and upliftment

We believed that the look and feel of the corporate logo need a bit of vibrancy. The proposed design was accepted and introduced to the public.
